1 What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, improve user experience, and provide information to site owners.

Cookies can be first-party (set by the site you're visiting) or third-party (set by a different domain). They can also be session cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or persistent cookies (stored until they expire or you delete them).

2 Our Approach

We designed Delusion Calculator to be as cookie-free as possible. We set no first-party cookies ourselves. We use no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, and no cross-site tracking of any kind.

Our analytics provider (Plausible) is cookieless by design. The only cookie that may appear on your device from visiting this site is a single functional cookie from Cloudflare, described below.

That's the full list. One cookie, functional only, no personal data, expires in 30 minutes.

Note on Plausible Analytics: Plausible Analytics — which we use to understand aggregate page traffic — is intentionally cookieless. It does not set any cookies on your device. It uses a privacy-preserving statistical model instead of individual tracking. See Plausible's data policy for details.

4 Cookies We Don't Use

To be explicit, this site does not use:

  • Google Analytics or any Google tracking cookies
  • Facebook Pixel or Meta tracking
  • Any advertising or retargeting cookies
  • Any cross-site tracking cookies
  • Any cookies that store your calculator inputs or results
  • Any login session cookies (there is no login)
  • Any persistent first-party cookies set by us

6 Managing Cookies

Because we use so few cookies, there is very little to manage. However, you have full control over cookies through your browser settings:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies

You can also block or delete the Cloudflare __cf_bm cookie at any time. Doing so will not affect the calculator's functionality — it only affects Cloudflare's ability to distinguish you from automated bots.

7 Changes to This Policy

If we add new features that require additional cookies, we will update this policy before deploying them and revise the "Last updated" date at the top of the page.
